Travelling Expenses

We would like to offer women and girls (and men too) across Wales the opportunity to apply for funding to attend W-Tech Cymru, covering the cost of:
  • Return train or bus ticket from home to Lampeter
  • Petrol costs for travelling by car at the rate of 40p per mile for the first 100 miles of a round trip journey (any mileage above the first 100 of a round trip journey will be covered at 13p per mile).
Applications should be submitted after the event in order to request travel expenses be reimbursed.

Eligability

Individuals supporting Software Alliance Wales (SAW) and Technocamp activities or workshops may be eligible to claim travel expenses, providing they live, work, or study in the Wales convergence area*. This will cover travel expenses for delegates within this area of Wales who wish to attend W-Tech Cymru.

Widening Access Fund will cover transport costs for people living in Community First areas of Wales and who are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:

  • Housing Benefit
  • Job Seekers Allowance
  • DSA
  • DLA
  • Free school meals
  • Full EMA
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Income Support
  • Pension Credit

 

* the convergence area contains the 15 Local Authorities of Isle of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Torfaen
